The East African Herbarium (EA), located in Nairobi, Kenya, is one of the most important botanical research institutions in Africa. Established in 1903, it is housed within the National Museums of Kenya and serves as the region’s primary repository for plant specimens, with a collection of over 1 million preserved samples from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and surrounding areas.
